Dr. Rahman is originally from Philadelphia, PA and spent her formative years in Milwaukee, WI.
She obtained her medical training from The George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her residency training at University of Maryland and Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Program. She served as chief resident during her final year of residency.
She is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Rahman is highly experienced in all aspects of adult psychiatry (ages: 18-70) and has a primary focus on women’s mental health ~ specifically during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. Dr. Rahman was honored to be appointed by Governor Larry Hogan in 2016 to the Task Force to Study Maternal Mental Health.
